Ordered our Trophy LR in late March and were told at the time that expected delivery would be 6/7 months. Having read this forum, I was thinking we would be doing well to get the car this year. So we were pleasantly surprised to get a call from the garage yesterday to say they had a car they could give us in a few days, due to a cancellation. Same spec, but a different colour from the car we had ordered. Given that there was no update on the potential delivery date for the original order we decided to go with the new offer. We'll be keeping one of our diesel cars for the moment but intending to use it much less - very good news with diesel pushing £2 per litre.

I have seen a few post like this were people have picked up a cancellation car in a different colour which means you don't loose the discounts.
Why do they not take the car and sell it on at a profit?

I went for a test drive in a Trophy Connect Long Range today, and after discussing the very long lead time on new orders, I’ve ended up buying the demo car with less than 200 miles on the clock with nearly 3k off the price of a new one. Pick up on Friday ?

Was it the same price?

I was almost exactly the same as this, apart from I ordered in November last year haha, I got offered a white trophy long range instead of the black one I had ordered originally... and good job as well as my dealer have had all their current orders pushed back to 2023!!

When I bought my ZS EV 'luxury' sept 2021 it was one of the very last of the gen1 cars.

The list price here in France was 32,400€. I got a govt subsidy of 7000€ for buying a new EV; 2500€ govt subsidy for trading in my old diesel van, plus discount from the dealer. The net price was 18,032€.

I recently got a call from the salesman at the garage who told me the govt subsidy was in fact 5000€ not 2500 so I received another 2500€ !!!!

So she now stands me at 15,532€ for a brand new ZS EV - how's that for a deal. I couldn't believe it either !!!!!!!
