Selling my MG 3 after major issues. My car has done less than 5,000 miles and is just over a year old.
I have had a number of issues. A brake fluid leak, Main screen going blank, sat nav regularly recalculating routes and the engine emissions fault.
I have had the engines emissions fault since august and still unresolved. On my first visit to my dealer they had the car for 2 days and did nothing. They said they where unable to connect to the MG diagnostics system so was reschedueld. On my next visit they did a software update and the engine emissions light stayed off for just a day. Since this software update my engine revs excessively upto 5,000 rpm on slight inclines and is reluctant to change gear. The dealer has refused to accept there is a problem and says its normal. With regards to the emissions light it was in the dealers for another 5 days and the exhaust gas recirculation valve was stripped. A new valve was ordered. My car was booked in again at MG Hawkins Hayle to have the valve fitted. I travelled all the way to only be told on arrival that the parts had not arrived so a totally wasted jouney. I had also arranged time off work to attend. I requested to speak with the service manager who was not y at his desk. I asked for a phone call but non has yet been made. Quite upset so changing car and leaving this group. Also I paid £18,495 for my Trophy and my part exchange price was only a disappointing £14,123
