Granny Charger

Hi.
I mostly charge on public Rapid charger about 50 yards from home but MG advise a slower charge now and then. In Summer I intend to use the Granny charger. (Difficult in Winter because of muddy access) Question; is the Granny charger weather proof, or should I devise some sort of cover?

Fully waterproof mine is out in all weather's and no issues

I think you can verify the IP code on the back of the granny charger, there are the specs of the charger.

Three parts of granny charger:

Type 2 Connector - specs say IP44 or better. Good enough for outside use, just.
The box bit - IP67 - dont leave it in sallow end of swimming pool too long.
BS 1363 Plug - IP2X - keep hella away from any water unless enclosed in some kind of weatherproof box or inside....
