Graphic equalizer present

Hi I sent an email to MG UK earlier today asking about sound controls here’s the response

Good afternoon,

Thank you for contacting MG customer care.

Unfortunately, yes, the infotainment screen does not have a graphic equalizer.

From my understanding there are software upgrades being worked on for the vehicle, but I cannot answer when these updates are being released for the vehicle, or in what phase of the updates the graphic equaliser would make an appearance.

I am sorry I have no further information than that.

At least they got back to me but I don’t think we will get a software update anytime soon.

If, as has been suggested there is a difference, in that the SE model has a different sound system, with a Graphic Equaliser, and the Trophy model doesn’t have one, then this could explain why none of us with the Trophy have a GE.
I suspect that the video has “mixed” video, and this has caused the confusion. At 1:18 mins, the video switches to a screen showing the use of the navigation system, however the sound track continues supplying instructions relating to the GE, strange?
The author has denied this, and has not responded to my request for the Entertainment system version number, on the car he is stating has a GE.
Cheers Noel.

How is it possible the top tier luxury edition not having the EQ and lower versions have it?
They told me from MG Greece that some models come with a different sound system, which is why they don’t include an equalizer. It’s a matter of luck which one you end up with, and there’s no way to add it if the car doesn’t already have it built in. Let's hope this isn't true, I will be furious 😭

Here’s a solution for those who don’t want to give up having an equalizer while waiting for a hoped-for MG software upgrade: Ottocast P3 or Ottocast P3 Light (which costs €100 less) + the free app XEQ Equalizer Bass Booster. With this setup, you can customize the audio while listening to Apple Music, Spotify, TuneIn, or any other music app. Once you’ve adjusted the bass, mids, and treble, the audio improves significantly—especially the bass, which, while not quite at subwoofer levels, is still much better. Of course, you’ll need a bit of know-how with Android box settings at first, but the end result is absolutely worth it.
