Headlight settings

Not sure if I’ve got something set incorrectly, but the auto lights basically have my headlights permanently on. Only way I can get running lights is to turn the auto lights off every time I get in the car. Have I missed something, or is something broken?

Are you sure you have it in the auto headlight position and not the Dipped Headlight position?

Note: that the Auto headlights are quite slow to react. If you are in a dim area, it may light up and the headlights stay on for quite a few seconds after you come into the day light.

Is the sensor covered up, on the MG5 it's on top of the dash in the centre ?

On Auto and nothing in the way, beginning to suspect the sensor is knackered as it seems to be unable to distinguish between blazing sunshine and pitch black.
