Help - Advise needed

Solved - I think. Used leaf blower, foot pump and ear buds. All dry now. Leaving the cap / bung open unplugged now as good sunshine.
How long should I leave before charging it next time?

I've done it loads of times. As suggested above, just open it when dry and leave to dry. I wouldn't touch it with ear buds or anything personally, just incase.

The contacts won't be live to the HV battery - there's a contactor in there somewhere that has to close (and which presumably won't until plugged into a charger) before that'll happen.

You're probably right, but would you trust your wet hands on those sockets? I wouldn't just incase. Safety first
