High Speed Charging Issues

Hi All,
My wife has an MG ZS exclusive. We’ve recently encountered an issue with using a high speed charger, it simply won’t charge. The garage has had it twice now and it’s going back again this week. It’s fine at home on the charger but not on high speed chargers. Anyone any idea on this before I push herself to move it on?

I presume you've tried it on a variety of rapid chargers? Sadly, there are still compatibility issues, some due to the charger, others due to the car.

Is it an older model? Some early ZS EVs had a batch of bad EVCC modules (EV Communications Controller), which conceivably might affect only rapid charging. I would expect that the service centre would be aware of this, but perhaps they are not. Otherwise, there is a handful of components that are used only for rapid charging, so it could be one of those.

I have the same with many high speed chargers. I have a ZS EV last model, last software updates. I want to charge, the charger says no, not the car. When I pick the following charger it loads. I've tried everything. Close the car, follow some specific procedures given by the dealer, etc. But still I have the issues. Any ideas?

Return it to the dealership and ask them to fix it under warranty or have your money back as it's not fit for purpose if it can't rapid charge.
