I would like to get a home charger installed, preferably 7kwh as I believe our current home switchboard ( or whatever its called☺️) can take it.
On looking there seems to be a multitude available all of which is confusing.
One company, Bumblebee, started going on about how only an OHME charger can work is this true?
I'm totally confused now and any advice would be appreciated

I'm not an electrician so can't say (and I have a Rolec charger). I'd suggest looking up installers online and asking them if you haven't done so already. No doubt others will be along shortly to help out ;)

Zappi comes very well recommended, and if you have solar works well with that, is also a smart charger.

I have 2 Polar (now Pulse) 7kW chargers and plug in whenever I need to so not sure if they are compatible for timed cheap rate/solar charging but are proving reliable units. The installations were done quickly once all the survey work was approved ( they ask for photos of off-road parking, consumer unit, main fuse and distances etc.) Each unit was around £600 after the OLEV grant.
