I Guess it depends what you are used to? It's not a problem for me either, but I've had petrol v8's with as much, or less range... so I guess in that context, the range is not a problem. I should also add that those v8's were slower to 100/62, and at least two were infinitely worse handling. If i compared it to one of my 4cyl Mazdas that gave almost 900klms range, then it is woeful....

Got 205 miles out of mine yesterday 90% motorway ( 8% left) , just recharged it and now saying this.

MG4 maths isn’t great..
A lot of the times it’ doesn’t make sense my car said 414km at 100% now it’s 387km at 95%..

From what I can tell is it’s based off consumption which is why you get up and down readings ..

Like after I charge the car on a public charger I always reset the odometer it seems to display more range after the reset..

I get the feeling the car learns your pattern and just adjusts to it ..

If I I 97%. Charge the car at public reset everything it say 400km range but when I put it in sport mode it drops it down to 387km seems to do that every time same routine same figures

But after the 97% charge it might say 360km in normal do the reset up the 400 km in normal down to 387 in sport..

Its really weird ..

That said I don’t really care about consumption and range now with it I charge it when i can or need to drive it and rinse and repeat..
( I mean I want more range from my next EV but the X power is what it is I live with it)

As long as i got charge to do what i need and i hardly let it get much under 50% so it is what it is ..

The MG 4 always shows and optimistic range after a reset, it very quickly adjusts. I don't find the GOM that inaccurate to be fair
I think it’s like a permanent trip meter on EV in which every car has now..

Just EV use it as a more common method of telling you how much petrol you have in the tank ..

most drive off full tank 3/4 1/2 1/4 and the yellow light comes on put petrol in your car in ICE cars I’ve never driven a petrol car off the trip meter ..

Maybe my MG4 maths comment was wrong but it seems to go up and and all over the place which if you drive off the trip meter in an ice car it would probably be the same ..

Very happy with my economy at moment, did another 87 miles mainly trunk road and motorway and used 33%, got to do repeat journey tonight so will see how second time goes. Eco and energy save activated.Route was Poole to Eastleigh, Southampton and back A31,M27,M3.
