Apec front discs

Arrived today...

Xpower front discs from Apec..

Very nice quality..black hubs and edge

10.5kg each.

These are very reasonable priced.. approx £100 a pair you should be able to find these for.

I have a trade account so was a bit cheaper.

At this price I will probably take them to a specialist to get them grooved and / or dimpled for a nicer "sports" look.
Doesn't really give much if any performance gain despite what people say..but looks far better behind the wheels.

They do not do the front pads yet, or rear discs/pads.

I actually bought 4 discs due to my discount,
The stock computer at my supplier shows they now have 8 units on the shelf in Rotherham Apec warehouse.

I presume they have had 12 discs sitting on the shelf for a while..the boxes were very dusty!

Probably shocked when they sold that set. Even though the X Power has been out for about 3 years, it's still not and possibly never will be a highly modified car. That's why it's great when someone does summut a bit different to there X Power.

Image of some performance VW discs on ebay...

This would look pretty decent If i can get it done., would prefer dimples rather than drilled holes.

(Drilled discs can form hairline cracks around the holes, although that tends to happen when proper hot on track)

Agree, even if they don't particularly give you any extra brake performance, they certainly look the part.

Yes true. Approx £220 total...But I guess still cheaper than MG would charge for plain discs
