I found where to do it in the settings but after I changed it it switched straight back to the wrong time.

Try changing where it look for the time to DAB

On the second Home Screen, Settings > General > Auto set time, think you need to select the time zone here. I have the feeling I had to set the time first before I chose the time zone, I know there was some skullduggery but as it was a year ago I can’t remember exactly.
