IM 5 width

Hi all,

Just wanted to put this out there for existing IM5 owners.

I have checked the specs on the IM6 and it is about 20cm wider that most cars and Vans I have driven. Has anyone had any issues with this? where I live, there are roads with bollards that stop wide vehicles getting through. They worrying enough with an MG 4 as they are definitely not of the forgiving kind.

One of my neighbour's recently bought a massive BMW EV SUV, can't remember the model, and he has since regretted it due to the size, it's turned them in to a nervous wreak (not the BMW part LOL) and their partner refuses to drive it.

Any thoughts, issues, regrets (positive ) would be welcome.

The obvious thing, as you have done is check the width. If you say the MG4 is worrying, then don't get an IM6. Even if you really want one. Or do get one, and panic every time you go through that gap.
Not the ideal situation though, is it.
Obviously your neighbour didn't check and is now regretting it.

Not found it an issue and the rear wheel steering makes it very manoeuvrable.

Would that make a difference. Think he's on about a narrow gap and the width of the car.

Can we clarify which car you are asking about, this is in the IM5 section but you have mentioned the IM5 and IM6 in your question?
