You will enjoy it; trust me. I will be surprised if it does not feel bigger to you too.
I felt like driving one of those big Discovery ones. Could be though because I have spent the last 6 years driving a model 3. In no point though it felt awkward or tricky to manage.
I don't think that removing the headrests will make any difference to be honest. The back window is like looking through a porthole.
Not unsurprisingly the rear view mirror is tiny and can be completely folded. It like IM admits that it is useless.
