Infotainment bar in AA/CarPlay

Hi Guys, I have had a search and I don't think it is possible, but I'll ask all the same.

I have recently purchased and installed a AI Box that connects to the car using wired CarPlay. All is great but it is really annoying that the infotainment bar along the top stays. Quite frankly it's a waste of already limited vertical screen space. Is there a way hide that that you know of?

The only way I know of would be to downgrade the Infotainment software ... if your car is on the SWI68 series then you'd need to downgrade to 1300R46 or 1300R40 - or maybe even 1300R33. (I can't recall when the change to always show the status bar came in).
