Zs ev Long range Trophy.
Saturday long trip.
This is a strange one, InstaVolt chargers who seems to be spot on with charging and pricing caused two issues at 2 different chargers.
Contactless with credit card starts the machine, at this time the car is locked and plug locked in.
Now these chargers have 170 seconds timeout to get things started and should talk to the car and work after 30 seconds, It started the charger and then stopped.
Rang the company who ran the process his end got a charge started, all well and good but becuse of time wasted needed to move from McDonald’s due to 90 minutes waiting time, busy with other ev’s, don’t want £100 fines etc.
Sunday and the charge was with Osprey, connected after payment from 28% to 80% with no error messages.
No other rapid chargers is causing this issue and I’m wondering if InstaVolt as a problem.
I’m now wondering because of all the heat this summer, do the locking pins on the cars charger unit need any kind of lubricant or electronic cleaner spray.
