Insurance for the new MG4 Premium

A head's up that as this is a brand new car it is not yet showing on all insurance databases. I was hitherto with AA insurance and they checked with their 11 brokers but non were able to cover my new MG4 Premium.

I did get insurance via Uswitch / Admiral so apart from extra hassle it's not really a problem.

Note, when searching for cover you need to select MG Motors as the manufacturer, then select MG4 then select Premium

Yes I remember the same problem when I bought my first MG ZS in 2021. Things haven't improved much in 5 years.

My wife and I have just encountered the same problem on our new car which we are collecting tomorrow.
Thankfully our local dealer Polesworth Garage being an independent family business, is insuring us on their insurance policy for one day, while we sort things out

Agreed. Previously they were a Nissan dealer for 50 years until last year when they switched to MG.
My dad brought cars from them and never had a bad word to say. So far I can only echo the same. Long may it continue.

So no joy with LV, which means that this evening will be spent looking for a multi car policy to insure the MG4 and a VW T-Roc.

Admiral will insure the MG4, and they do multi-car insurance.

I had a similar problem finding Insurance, and I had to go with Admiral in the end, which cost me £80 more than the X-Power cost 4 months ago.

Likewise, we have gone with Admiral too on a multi-car policy.
I'm sure that when we come to renew next year there will be more options to choose and compare

It is a refresh but it has a new name - Premium instead of Trophy. It’s the Premium name which was not widely available when I set up my insurance last week. .
