Is 1 x lamp a dummy?

I have a 2024 MG5 F/LIFT
1) The n/side reverse lamp works
2) The o/side fog light works

Before I worry too much about a bulb and led replacement for the above can anyone confirm that both sides are supposed to work?
If they should both work then I will put a bit of thought into replacing them or just wait for the 2nd service.

No worries. Vehicles must only have one fog light and then it makes sense to have one reverse light on the other side. The fog light is on the offside, so you know which side to overtake!

Thank you - I didn't know that they should only have 1 x fog light (obviously) so will take this as my little bit of learning for today.
