Is it better not to balance until you've had the Jan BMS update

In the manual they state we have to balance the battery once in a while. Many try to only go to 80 % but I do most of my charging to 100%. Maybe someone knows more about if it is good or bad to do it with the "buggy" update.

This is only applicable to those who have got the now withdrawn, faulty BMS update between Oct-Dec.
The statement was that "it doesn't actually balance the charge"
No evidence it will harm it.
Just losing the 300 Wh of electricity for duration which can be 7-8+ hours long.
