ISmart secondary account

Hi all, hope you're all keeping well.
I know this has been posted a few times but the suggestions so far haven't worked. I've registered an account and set up iSmart on my phone and everything works but when trying to register an account in my wife's name/email address it's refusing to get passed the 'verification link has expired' literally seconds after requesting the link. I can't add a secondary account to mine until hers is registered. Any suggestions?
 
As I understand it your wife needs to set up an iSmart account on her phone using her email address (not yours as that is already being used) and her own password but don't bind it to the car.

You then invite your wife by tapping the last icon at the bottom of our iSmart app (looks like a circle with the top filled in), tapping Secondary Account, tapping the + at the top right and filling in the details requested.

In accepting those instructions, the issue is that when I go to set up her own account and fill in her email address and a password, it then sends her a verification email to complete the registration. She receives the email but when clicking the verify now button it immediately states 'verification link has expired'. This happened numerous times and then locked her out because she'd made too many attempts. I tried two different email addresses but no joy. Maybe it's a server issue their end....

I agree, it sounds like a problem at MGs end and not yours. MG seems to be busy updating the iSmart software as indicated by the latest update. I wonder if that's why you are having problems.

Your wife can log in using your details but it will log you out until you log back in again.

So I tried setting up the wife's account to then add as a secondary account onto mine and today it worked first time. Both apps got an update this morning so I think it's fair to say it was an MG server issue. Anyways, onwards and upwards 👍
