Issue with Type 2 Public Charging

Not had my HS PHEV long and normally charge at home using a granny charger, however yesterday I took it to a BP Pulse public charger just to try it out. I use Zapmap for payment and it seemed to connect the charger to the car ok, and showed active charging at 2.6kW however the MG iSMART app and the driver info screen in the car reported no charging at all. Probably being a complete numpty but do I need to enable the charging via MG iSMART or some other means? BTW, I didn’t get billed by ZapMap so clearly something not right here!

Do you have a scheduled time setup in the car if so would not charge until the time schedule activates

No, when I charge at home it’s just plug in and go, no timers
