Jump Starter pack at a reasonable price

I bought a cheap one once, it didn't last long, completely failed to hold it's charge. :(

I bought an Aldi one around £40 I think about 5 years ago, still going strong. Didn't use it initially as its intended use was to power telescope but proved a godsend when our 'tip' car an old Honda Jazz developed an intermittent fault where it stopped charging the battery and giving a very old Rav4 a bit of help on the occasions we use it to harrow/roll/top our paddock. I did look out for one with a LiFEPO4 battery.

I never learn! Buy cheap buy twice!
Tell me about it. I bought a cheaper one badged as Ring who are a known car accessory supplier. It didn't hold the charge for more than a month before becoming a brick. Luckily as I had bought it from Amazon they refunded my money. Two months later I got a recall notice from Ring and Amazon as it was faulty.
I've since spent a bit more and got a NOCO one which is a lot better quality and holds its charge for months.

I've decided on the Noco GB20 but waiting to find a deal on it as Noco's are not cheap.

I have the Noco GB 40 and co-incidentally am just discharging it through the built in torch... and will give it a recharge later... all these threads got me wondering and figured it couldn't do any harm...

Thought I'd better check mine out, used it a couple of times to help the Rav4 back in March, still showing 3 of 4 bars but topped it up anyway. Came from Aldi/Lidl about 5 years ago branded Ultimate Speed, seems fine despite silly name.

Just thinking, how can you test them? Mine is 8 years old, drops to 90% over the winter, so I charge it back to 100% but would like to know it has not degraded over the years and can still function as intended.

If you have to use it just keep your fingers crossed, that should do it.
