Lane assist occasionally on when shouldn't be

Anybody else notice on occasion that lane assist is active, even though the function has been disabled by preference? Turning off car and restarting clears the problem, but I find it disconcerting when the car directs itself without my expectation.

Have you disables it in the car settings? If you turn it off using the stalk it defaults back on for your next journey

Disabled in car settings. Only realise when you activate ACC through stalk, expecting just to maintain speed and distance, but suddenly feel steering wheel pulling

Ah. I see. If you push the stalk fully forward past the resistance it resets MG pilot/acc. To just use acc without steer don’t pull back twice on the stalk which sets MG pilot - just set speed.

That’s because you will have pulled the ACC lever towards you twice. You have activated MG Pilot.
