Lane Warning anomaly

My wife pointed out that the lane Warning for our 11month old MG5 LR was doing something odd.
On testing it, it seems that the lane Warning only works on the left side, but instead of the normal dash indicator/ bleep for this, the radar system comes on giving 2 distance car icons, the upper one red.
This dual icon only comes on briefly, whence just the lower non red stays in place till " left arrow on steering wheel" returns the mph icons.
The car is booked in for its 1st service in 4 weeks.
Is any owners aware of this anomaly.

I've certainly not seen/experienced this. I don't often use the LKA but I did yesterday for part of a journey from home to Scunthorpe and return, all functioned as expected.

I have cleaned the windscreen and radar- but took car out this morning.Croseed onto hatched lines at 40 mpg radar comes on ( as advised 2 level icons)the red upper one goes out, the lower stays on.
So instead of lane Warning, the " proximity" is triggered.
Will advise garage for assessing at 1st service .
