Little on the outside, large on range

And yet some people don't like the Tesla layout, also minimalist
I think the MG4 has the right balance, most of the things you need when driving are on the steering wheel and can be accessed by touch and of course the driver binnacle. I'd lose the pointless volume buttons and have a couple more customisable buttons in their place.

4 custom buttons would be perfect, if you could map any function to them, would allow very easy changes.

At the moment I have my left custom button mapped to 360 camera on/off and right one to AC overlay on/off. It'd be cool to have another couple of buttons for Drive Mode and Regen setting (or indeed a couple of paddles that change these). The reason for the 360 camera is that it only appears automatically when reversing, but I find it useful when driving forwards into a space or kerb too.

With the newer MGs, they have separate hand controls for volume, temp, fan speed, etc... so perhaps 2 custom buttons are enough, with no need for AC to be bound to one of them?

I'd like to see a double-press on a physical button to select saved MG Pilot settings - like on a Renault - assuming they haven't patented this - or even better, Driver Profiles, so when the Infotainment powers up you select your name or "Guest" and it applies the right settings first time.

I agree that you can pay for 3rd party add-ons to fix some of the missing buttons, stalks and screens in a Tesla, but really how many people are going to do that when these things are not missing for all other makes?
Stalks aren't missing anymore they brought them back, listened to customers and realised it was a step to far

I thought that was only on the Model 3, not the Model Y and it is very limited in what it does. There's only one stalk - wipers are still touch screen job.

Tesla: just give us two multifunctional stalks like everybody else!

Agree. Think the screens on the MG4 are spot on. Well for me anyway. The screen in front of me, is just right. And t'other screen is great. Don't need any bigger, than that. Agree, that the ability to switch things, of permanently, would be good.
But that ain't gonna happen. And even that's not the end of the world. 🙂👍
