I remove my wheels once a year for cleaning/protecting, and rotating.
I don't like locking wheel nuts because if they're removed several times, they quickly become worn and are more likely to fail, conversely, if they're left on for a couple of years, they tend to become too tight to be removed easily, and can fail.
To be honest the MG locking wheel nuts actually seem to be a better design than some I've seen, but after 40 years of being a 'hater', I'm not likely to change now, and it's definitely easier to remove a wheel if all the nuts are the same.
