Looking for MGS5 Boot liner with bumper flap.

Just order a rubber boot mat from Vehicle Mats UK, but it didn’t come with bumper protection.

Boot liners with a 'built-in' bumper protector are not easily found, but there are many boot lip protectors available. This one looks quite sturdy > Boot lip protector.

I have the exact same one, but its way too large (deep) for the trunk, i dont like how it bags up along the seats.
Ideally i want the same kind, just shorter and more custom fitted... Its an impossible wish i guess

Those and Hugo A Go Go's one look like they could be cut to size if needed. Or not even cut, just folded and stitched.

I carry a lot of music gear in mine, guitars, keyboards, combo's, mixers etc and I've ruined every car I've had.
I also have to drop the back seat to fit gear in.

I was just in Home Bargains and they had one for £7. It looks similar to some of the Amazon ones, but not as nice as the one aardvark5 linked to. The material looked reasonably strong, although the finishing was cheap as you would expect.

Probably worth a try for £7, and can always get a nicer one if and when tailored ones for the S5 become available at a good price. It seems like they are more expensive when the car is new, like the mats are a good £10 more than very similar looking ones for the MG4.

Have ordered a cut yourself piece from ebay. It was only 7.99 so hoping to cut to shape, fit to boot floor and roll out when needed.

The best boot liners are provided by Hatchbag. I have had them on 3 cars (BMW/Octavia/MG5) and they are fully tailored, include a cill flap and also extra bits to cover the seats when folded and come in lots of colours. They are about £150 but worth every penny. Only problem is that because they are tailored they only do the templating process and start manufacture when they get enough enquiries to justify adding a car to their range.
So if you all go onto their website and fill in their enquiry form they will see the demand is there and do the templating. Whoever volunteers their car for a day in Birkenhead gets a free Hatchbag!

They don’t actually have one for the S5 yet, but they are offering a free one for anyone who visits their factory.

I have had mine templated by Titan and the finished product will be fitted and photographed etc 30 September, after which they should be available. I think there will be two versions, one for floor down one for floor up.
