Hi everyone,

I’m a 2023 MG ZS EV (facelift model) owner from Turkey.

In my country, our software updates are way behind. My infotainment system is currently stuck on version R04, and the local dealers don't seem to provide any newer updates. I know that in the UK and other parts of Europe, versions like R22 or even R24 are already available.

Since iSmart features are not active/supported in Turkey anyway, I’m not worried about losing connectivity. I just want a smoother screen experience and better CarPlay stability.

Could anyone share a download link (MEGA, Google Drive, etc.) for the latest firmware compatible with LHD (Left Hand Drive) models? Or point me to a thread where the ZIP files are still active? I want to upgrade manually.

Current Version: SWI89-29958-1100R04 Region: Turkey (LHD)

Thanks in advance for the help!

We have the same problem in Israel: we have R16 installed, and the dealer won't update to R27. I also had a connection issue with ISMART. I indicated I was in Germany and wrote to the European MG representative, and they gave me the go-ahead, and everything worked fine, but the map shows I'm in Israel.

I think you need special equipment to actually update the software.

Ours were just in for its yearly service, to keep the warranty, for some reason they got 2 work orders mixed up so they did a reset of our screen and now the navigation says it is not activated. They said they would need the car back for a software update as this is a known but on the R25 we have in the car, i suppose they will update it to R27 as this seems to be the latest.

When MG sold the ZS EV here, one of the advertised features in the "Luxury" trim, vs the "comfort trim" was the ability to do OTA software updates of the infotainment system, they never did any updates this way though.

If the main dealer with the correct equipment needs 3 hours to do an update on the infotainment, using their special equipment, i dont suppose you will be able to do it yourself.

This is NOT just "software on a USB stick" as far as i know, their computer needs to be on the car for the whole duration of the upgrade.

hmadsen is correct. Your car must interface with the MG mainframe computer at their headquarters. The computer will scan your cars entire system, offer R27 & then update the other computer modules on your car. There are 6 main computer modules that will update & upgrade after the R27 is installed. It isn't something you can do yourself.
