Lost main display info

During a recent long trip ( mainly on petrol / hybrid driving) the main info screen disappeared leaving blank screen with faint lines at bottom.
(Still have "brightness etc screen and vehicle picture screen on steering wheel options) Can't seem to get the main info screen back.
Any help out there with this problem ?

As with most electronic devices, if you turn them off and on again by disconnecting the power they seem to work better. Disconnect the 12 volt battery for 15 minutes and reconnect it, that will reset everything. I've also heard if you reset the infotainment system that fixes certain issues - to do this hold down the home key for a while, I've heard for up to 20 seconds.
