On the Urban comfort standard range, today i got a low battery warning at 16% SoC and the satnav started to suggest charging stations with a yellow button

The low battery started flashing at 10% SoC
and the satnav button became red and a message came up at some point

I was still able to select Sport mode for a brief stint on the motorway at 70 as i was keen on getting to under 10% SoC today
Eventually i made it back with 8%.
i let it settle for a few hours and then i plugged it in to charge to 100% and balance.

To note, the charging port on the Urban does not have a rubber seal around the cover, which makes for a more positive engagement of the latch, but also means both the Type 2 and the CCS ports have a rubber cover now.
There's a green light next to the port, steady when the cable is plugged in and not charging, blinking when charging.

I much prefer to flashing green segments around the charging connection to tell you where the charging is up to at a glance, the longer it is green compared to blank, suggests how close it is to finishing that 1/4 of the charging to full capacity .... then it remains full green to inform you it is probably doing a balance cycle, then they all go out and you know to unplug .... or in the middle of the night, it will honk the horn to wake you up  The horn honking doesn't wake me, it's the elbow in the ribs that does waking up part, but for some reason, it is deemed to be a blue job ......

but with LFP, there's no point in knowing.

if you need the car, you unplug it.
if you don't need it, you leave it plugged in.

knowing the % to full is the job of the app or the dashboard.

knowing how close it is, is a source of anxiety.

in fact i agree with Rory Sutherland that the percentage indicator on an electric car is not useful above 50%
