I still have a 1990 Polo 86c, the catalytic converter still looks like new and I had to replace the centre silencer for the first time in 20 years. But not because it was rusted, but because it was cracked. It was made of stainless steel at the factory.
What really worries me is the catalytic converter, which is already rusted. They're usually made of stainless steel, but apparently not at MG
Is that the Norm on those. Coz that's really bad. Might be worth a visit to the dealers. That can't be right on a 10 month old car. That looks more like 10 years.
I will send the pictures to MG Germany and ask for a statement.
However, I have little hope that anything useful will come of it.
As with my previous emails.
The only response I ever received was that I should contact the dealer.
But the dealer couldn't do much about the previous problems because he had to contact MG again.
So with MG, it's almost always just going round in circles.
