In the War Memorial Park, Coventry from 9am this Saturday 17th.

@MilesperkWh and myself will be there. Come say hello at the EZOO tent at 12:30pm. Hopefully we'll gather together a bunch of MG EV owners.

I've cant go as I got tickets for Bristol Pokemon Go Fest 'celebration'/event.

You might see a few pokemon go players using the park also - as its annual Go Fest is happening that weekend also. The main Go Fest weekend can be played anywhere but Niantic have added a few extra events in other cities as a bonus.

Sounds like fun and would have gone except attending grand-daughters first birthday same day. Can't miss that. :)

What? So it's a prison then?
You could look at like that. I only just noticed on the reminder email I received this morning. For those travelling any distance that could be important. I'm staying overnight Friday so arrival before 11.00 is no problem but I was planning to start home (180+miles) before the finish time. I have now revised my travel plan.

Gates will be locked and no vehicle movements permitted between 11.00am and 16.00pm except for emergency.

I guess you can still Park in the Park & Ride Car Park then walk the 400m to the event.

Walking ability permitting, and not quite the same has having everything in the car with you.

Good option if you really do need to get away early but defeats the object of EVs in the park if everybody turned up on foot.

If I recall from my previous visits it's the health and safety rule the RZOC have to abide by for the event to take place in the busy public park ;
no combustion engine vehicles , participants to be escorted at walking pace to the event location
gates shut at 11:00 am as by then visitors, kids on bikes , prams etc will be using the same pathways .
I suppose have a thought for event sponsors who will have had to arrive before 9:00am to set up!

I can't see how that's permissible. I understand this is a park, but there's no legal way people can be prevented from leaving. Sorry, I know you're not the person I should be saying this to!
