This noise started yesterday and got louder and more persistent today so I'm stuck in Aberdeen while Kwik fit look at it. Car is only about 4 months old so this is disappointing. I had a look myself and couldn't see anything wrong. Might be a loose heat shield or something I guess.

It's intermittent and they didn't hear anything. On the way home to Edinburgh it was fairly quite, just the odd clonk sound every so often.
Hi IAM surprised kwik fit didn't find anything? It's usually a licence to print money with them . Yes it requires tyres shock absorbers brake pads disks etc etc, Take the car to the dealership it's under warranty if only 4 months old .

True, but I think even Kwik fit would struggle to justify anything new on a car that's done 8000 miles in four months

I will probably end up waiting for the service interval to ask the dealer to check it. It was clunking today at times. And at other times it was quiet.

To be honest with you I would take it now for piece of mind you don't want to be driving at speed and something comes adrift and causes you to have an accident? Whatever it is will be covered by warranty safety first IAM afraid, that's my opinion though.👍

Had something similar when the car was new but only when braking in reverse. My colleague had the same issue with their car (delivered about 6 weeks later than mine).
The dealer suggested it was due to braking too lightly.
After a while (and probably making a conscious effort to brake a little harder) the noise has stopped on both cars.

Has one of the rear road springs broken by any chance ?,
There was a small batch of ZS EV’s that had rear spring fails, they were fracturing right at the bottom of the spring ( if I remember correctly ).
These can make a lot of noise when they are fractured.

Good call, although you'd hope that even Kwik-Fit would notice a broken spring. 😊
