This article - MG Australia supplying up to 3000 EV chargers for rural hotels - shows how MG is trying to help with charging infrastructure and also place themselves as a force in the promotion of EVs in Australia. The ZS EV has been consistently the 2nd top seller behind the Tesla Model 3 since it's launch a year ago. Aiming for tourists and holidayers by equipping hotels and motels with 7-11 kW destination chargers is a great idea.

It's good to see MG helping to fill the gaps in infrastructure in Australia. Lack of government support (especially at national level) for EVs has meant low sales and much public scepticism which has led to big gaps in charging infrastructure. The motoring associations and some local councils have been quite proactive but there are still big swathes of the country where range anxiety is real.

It's amazing how every mention of EVs in media here still gets a raft of dumb replies about EVs 'not able to tow my boat from Sydney to Perth in one stint'. Those dinosaurs won't shut up until they're buried with the fossils they love but hopefully more normal people just waiting for it all to get a bit more convenient will join us.

Great initiative by MG AUS.
Probably same arrangement that Tesla have done - i.e. supply the charger free and installation & running costs to be borne by the business.
