I shut it down at dinner time. I'm around now for 10 minutes if you're still on the site. Otherwise, tomorrow is fine.

Hi, Can we include suspension as part of discussion. I am not impressed with ZS EV suspension, especially rear one and would like more experienced owners to share their experience.

This is subject very close to Mike's heart !.
I am sure he will to share, if he can find the time ( pending house move ).

Already planning a discussion on that topic, thanks.

I have the following accessories connected to my car

1) dashcam connected on piggy back to 15amp fuse F15 for power socket,

2) usb LED floor lighting connected in power socket,

3) usb pen drive with mp3 music connected to front USB socket.

4) USB lead for mobile phone connected in usb socket

I know that when I turn car off by pressing stop switch that they all turn off after a short time starting with dashcam in a few seconds and a longer delay for pen drive and then LED lights.

Just wanted to confirm that it is ok to leave USB accessories plugged in as car turns off the power socket power to save the 12v battery.

I ask as I've had issues with my 12v battery not having enough power to engage traction battery this week. I may have a duff 12v as car is only 1 month old and don't know if dealer properly charged it as only my second granny charge since I got it on 23rd December. It could also be that in lockdown I've not been doing many journeys in it.

I can also confirm for others that the 12v battery gets charged up whilst charging on a granny charger and I assume a home 7kw charger.

Do you ever just run items from the 12v system? i.e. not at ‘ready’ state. this can drain your 12v battery. In ready state the 12v gets topped up from the HV battery pack.

Ps. This thread might help

Example of LED footwell lights for front & rear.

Due to bms taking 3+ hours to balance, infotainment screen freezing. Drivers door handle sticking and sunroof rattle Chorley mg has instructed me to return the car tomorrow for a full refund. Car only 3 weeks old. Your comments please.
Glyn.

Do you like the car other than these issues?

The battery balancing time will almost certainly be due to the BMS requiring update - If you had the Oct/Nov release, then then new version will be working hard to rectify the balancing issues caused.
The infotainment screen freezing suggests that it needs a software update too. The door handle/sunroof issues would need investigating and lubricating/dampening.

If you have time? Any chance on getting your views on the battery switch in the centre console of the zs ev.
Now the range is showing on the dash permanently the battery switch is redundant
I love mg to turn it into a battery % indicator.
What do you think

I don’t think anyone would argue with that! The redundant battery button and lack of % indicator are both frustrating.

What are the chances of getting iSmart in UK. I heard it was a GDPR issue.. with Brexit after June 2021 the GPR should no longer poseca hindrance... Would that increase likelihood of getting iSmart?

Hmmm another software update that could go wrong...
