Maybe in a few years time when EV's are more common I would expect to be able to pre-book a charge especially when driving long distance. Similarly in central London you can pre book street parking.
Had a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV since 2015 - great car but too big for us so traded in for MG ZS EV end of last year - pleased so far.
Be warned haha !! We visited London in 2018 & drove without a care into the congestion zone as the brochure said the car was exempt. A week later I received a £60 PCN from the Lord Mayor. It turns out that I should have registered the car either before or within 24hrs for £10 pa. I pleaded ignorance & sent a copy of the V5 for proof of low emissions & a copy of the brochure showing exemption. They kindly let me off & didn't even charge me the £10.
