I may be loosing my mind!

Only had our S5 a few weeks, but noticed something odd; I normally charge to 80% & check iSmart main screen when its finished.
It typically reads 214 or 216 miles. I refresh screen, & it still gives same mileage.

But if I then select EV Management screen, remaining range now says typically: 224 miles.

If I now return to main screen, it says 224 miles.

I only noticed this because I've been recording the 80% mileage prediction at the end of each charge, & wondered why I've sometimes written down 214-216 & at other times 224.

I have a feeling the range is calculated based on your recent usage. For example, for city driving on a good week or two, I was able to hit 300 mile range (full charge) with an average of maybe 4.8mls/kWh. On recent long range drives where i had to drive 250 miles up and back, the range showed as 280 miles with an average of 4mls/kWh. The math may not add up here as this was just based on my failing memory, but yeah. I think that's the case.

I would suggest that owner in the OP has reset the trips, if the predicted range after a 80% charge is around 222 - 224 miles 🤷🏻.
More predicted range after a 80% charge, would likely indicate a higher or lower range, depending on the historical data stored by the car.
Resetting the trips will return a figure more closely to the advertised predicted range.

I'm only doing the steps in my first post, but the next time I do a charge, in a few days time, I'll take a close look at both the iSmart & car display.

I suspect its just a refresh/update issue with iSmart, e.g. the main iSmart screen is not properly updating after the SoC reaches its target value, even though I hit the refresh button. And only when going to the EV Management screen does iSmart fully update.

If the S5 is similar to the 4 then the EV management figure in iSmart will be based on the mode the car was used in when it was put on charge. In my 4, I always use the ECO mode (comfort in the S5) where the app predicts around 252 miles for 100%, whereas the car reverts to the normal mode when it first powers up and predicts 240 miles by example. If you change the driving mode of the car back to how it was previously used then they normally match.
I'm making some assumptions here that you're changing your driving mode and there are no resets to the accumulated totals to the trip computer as this will effect the predicted range on the GOM too.

Haven't played with the driving mode yet: always running: Normal
Only really adjusted regent settings.
