Just took a picture, it's still working, no lags or unresponsiveness. Can't tell what version I had before friday, didn't care since everything was fine. As I wrote, I did a factory reset, left the car alone overnight and did 10 sec restart on saturday. Since then it seems fine again.

MPU and TBOX are always the same. They haven't changed in the last few days. I've seen the same photo from users all over the world.

I posted earlier that I had disabled DATA, totally forgot to mention, it's like having a different car, zero lag on the infotainment (there was always a little) everything is super snappy. Might leave it permanently disabled.

It's the only workaround at the moment but the problem is that the app will not work and you will not be able to control the car from remote

My car is back to normal now. I just took it for a 30-minute drive. The first 15 minutes with data and hotspot off, and the rest with both switched on. I was asked to accept the EULA and iSmart terms again, and suddenly everything was working with data and hotspot on. I’m not sure if something changed on the server side tonight, but hopefully that’s the case. Let's see how it is tomorrow.

Packet capture didn't reveal anything other than the traffic is encrypted (as you would expect).

The DNS query logging revealed it talking out to the below domains on startup:
  • api.xinmei365.com
  • gateway-mg-au.soimt.com
  • kika-huawei-backend-cms.kika-backend.com
  • arcus-uswest.amazon.com
  • *.us-east-1.prod.service.minerva.devices.a2z.com
  • msh.amazon.co.uk
  • mobile.events.data.microsoft.com
  • francecentral.tts.speech.microsoft.com
  • speechcontainerpipeline.blob.core.windows.net
  • www.microsoft.com
  • *.iot.ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com
  • spclient.wg.spotify.com

And then regular queries of the below domains every couple of minutes:
  • gateway-device.va.soimt.com
  • gateway-mg-au.soimt.com

Not sure what this reveals (if anything) other than they're using Azure TTS for voice commands, as well as the AWS IoT service for some other functions.

I would hazard a guess that the *.soimt.com domains would be the ones causing grief as they look like the "call home" endpoints. And as my car is in Australia that's why it's showing "au" but presumably there are different subdomains for other regions?

I'm aware, however how much does anyone really use the app? I only use when charging to make it is actually doing just that, i have also preheated the car maybe twice...Hopefully this will get addressed, however its way, way better experience without it running as everything is just working, like a normal vehicle LOL

Thankyou for doing this. us-east-1 is I believe an AWS server that is reported to have had problems this weekend

I use it all the time, I work late, usually out when it's at it's coldest, so I use the app 10 mins in advance. Today it's snowing here in belgium so it's nice to have it nice and warm.

These are all the same in my car and I’m getting all the problems reported over the last two days.

Honestly, i've used it much more than I anticipated.

We have had a lot of snow / ice lately here and its been really hand just just hit the window heater on so the car is warm and clear for taking the kids to shcoo on way to work meetings, also I use it to set charge levels over the Ohme App when charging the car.

Disconnect of data has worked for me, it's snappier but there is still something awry with the android auto connection.. had that crap out a couple of times still when till now it's been flawless.

Mind you im hoping this update eventually sorts itself out and actually brings the overall system upto snuff.. with newer android phones (galaxy S25) the bluetooth handshake will occasionally crap out while it works fine on older handsets.

It wouldn't be a massive burden to turn data on just before you lock the car, and turn it off again as you get in.
Thats fine for me, I've been an MG glutton for decades, but yeah I aint even gonna try and convince the missus that is in any way shape or form an acceptable long term solution..

Android auto for me wired, is working without issue with the DATA disabled, i have disabled wireless AA due to other issues, was driving me crazy, wired is a way better experience, cable out from under armrest, lay phone face down, so doesn't use wireless charge pad. The three girls all use wireless carplay without issues.

People who have it working, have you enabled data and then for each sub item?

From memory there are individual permissions for navigation, voice, and 3rd party apps.

I might try disabling the voice and 3rd party as I don't use them.

Yep, I’m in Australia and have same problem. Reversing camera not always working, 360 cameras very slow and now stuck (had to restart the car), infotainment sluggish. Not the worst thing in the world but we love it when everything works.

As others have said, turning off data works for now, not sure if you've tried that yet.
