MG S5 remote A/C not cooling

My wife has the S5, when she starts remote cooling in the app the fans start but never becomes cold?

A/C is fine when driving, so I'm assuming a setting or software bug.

Edit: New info, tested it myself, the blowers are on and the air hot, HVAC screen is disabled but becomes enabled if you sit down and then the A/C blows cold.

Air temp according to the app is 22°C, but according my skin is more like 40°C.

Edit 2: Fiddled about, and we now have air temp 48°C and the moment the A/C is turned on in the app it records 22°C.

I noticed this as well when I remote started the A/C yesterday. Opened the door and fan was running but no cooling. Havent used it again so I'm not sure if it does this every time..

Just tried it, works fine for me, I use the white theme, and select low under the climate section. Might be worth a go?

We tried low (app was in the other theme).
I'm going to try changing where the blowers are going, at use a number and see if that's any different.

Ah, we've hit the "you've done that too often" message, job for tomorrow then.

Ah! Eureka...changed to white theme as you used and it worked!

My pleasure, in this weather that is a necessity. Now all I need to do is try and find where it reports the voltage of the 12V battery, I got a message today about it being low.

Ok i tried it now. Int temp first reported at 22°, then update itself to 23°. A/C set to low. Went outside and checked and it worked. It most surely did not work yesterday though, but then temp was set to 21° or something.. I'm on dark theme..

It sure is, hopped in mine Friday and I swear if I'd leant back in seat it would time for a trip to A&E.
I get the 12V from the app on the MG4, likely also there for you?

It's so weird!

The one area MG need to improve is software, it's not horrible, but could easily be really good. It is more reliable than the VW app I had before, but the car interface across the 4 different cars we've had, isn't as easy to use at it should be (and doesn't remember setting, which would be so easy to tie to the key ID).

Nope not available on the MGS5, I wish it was, it only has lock, tyre pressure, door status and interior temp that always seems to be wrong can’t see it on any of the screens/menus in the car.

Manual says it should be on one menu/card but I guess the software changes quicker than the manual.

Yeah, I have a dog and it's important to me that this either works or it doesnt. I can't have it report wrong temp and claim commands are successfull if they aren't, so for now he's not getting left in the car if I have to make a quick errand.

Tested twice today. This morning it said it turned on, but neither fan nor A/C was running. Later it worked with both fan and ac running. Both times it was set to low.

Ive also seen a pattern where it reports 22°C internal temperature before it updates, so i think that's the default value (if it is then it's really silly.. ) And it doesnt update until about 30-60s has gone since i sent the command. I don't really know how often it updates after that.
