Yes folks it’s true I’ve discovered the true font of wealth since owning this superb machine.
it doesn’t need road tax. It’s cheaper to fuel, it needs much less servicing. You’ll never again replace a clutch etc. etc.
yeah yeah we know all that - but the clever gizmos at Edinburgh airport drop off / pick up barriers detect that it’s an electric vehicle and half the fee to open the gate.
So the travellers left eight quid and my dilemma, dear agony aunts out there, is do I tell them on their return ???

I wonder how the barriers detect it’s an EV? It means that they must have fast and direct contact with the DVLA database?

I reckon it’s our old friends ANPR cameras - or a wee guy who used to do train spotting who has changed his hobby ??
