I have a Pod Point Solo home charger that was installed and commissioned by Pod Point in 2018. At that point, I was able to get my devices to talk to the charger through the charger's 'podpoint' wifi. At the time, I had no need to use the charger's wifi. However, I now have an MG ZS EV 2019 that doesn't have a charging scheduler, and I want to use the Pod Point charger's in-built scheduler instead. But there is a problem in that I can't get any of my devices, either using the Pod Point app, or using a browser (I have tried several), to talk to the charger. After switching the charger off and on, I am able to see the 'podpoint' wifi, but when I use a browser to go to 192.168.1.1 (as per Pod Point's instructions), I either get garbled text, or nothing loads and then the page states that the site can't be reached. (I have also tried 192.168.101.1 but with the same results.) The charger is no-longer under warranty, and Pod Point won't send someone out (paid for by me) to look at it. They will upgrade the charger to their latest Solo 3 version at a cost of £600, but I want to understand the problem better first. Is the charger itself faulty? Does the issue lie with the devices and/or browsers I'm using? Can the charger be factory reset? As an alternative way to solve the problem, can the car itself be modified to manage scheduling? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
