I'm going to sing my praises for the ZS Hybrid+. I got my ZS in October 2024 and so far have had no major issues with it, i've now covered over 10,000 miles in the car. During the warmer months I get up to and sometimes over 70 mpg although this does drop off dramatically when it's cold. In August this year myself and my wife drove from Bournemouth on the south coast of England to Fishguard Ferry Port in South Wales, went over to Rosslare in southern Ireland and then drove to the North West tip of Ireland. Whilst we were in Ireland we made several long trips to visit various landmarks then drove all the way back to Bournemouth. We had the then known issue of the car loosing power when driven hard uphill but we made this journey before the cars first service, when the car was serviced in October this year the dealer updated the software and now the loss of power thing doesn't happen. The only other minor niggles we get are with the speed camera alert, it only works when it feels like it and on a couple of occasions i've had to 'reboot' the infotainment screen but the car does tell you to stop for a coffee if you've been driving for a long period of time
. As far as road noise goes I don't honestly think its any worse than other cars at this price point, I previously had a Clio RS line Hybrid and there's no real difference in the road noise, when I took my MG in for it's first service I was loaned a brand new poverty spec Clio and the overall ride and road noise was far worse than my ZS. My MG is a far more comfortable car to drive than my previously owned Clio, the MG's hybrid system switches between petrol and EV much more smoothly than the Renault/Dacia Hybrid system, in fact in the ZS when driven normally, not caining it, you don't even notice the transition, you do with the the Renault system. The engine does scream its arse off in the ZS Hybrid when thrashed but the same is true for the Renault/Dacia system, although it isn't quite so harsh in the latter but I feel this is because Renault may have more engine bay soundproofing. Also the MG ZS hybrid is a hell of a lot quicker off the mark than the Renault/Dacia hybrid and the Toyota Hybrids.
I think some people expect way to much from the MG ZS hybrid, pound for pound no other manufacturer can match it.
