MG ZS hybrid+ running on EV mode

I would like to know if the MG ZS hybrid+ really works on EV mode for some time/km without using fuel. I drive 4 +4 km per day to take my kids to school and wonder if these trips could be made in electric mode... Thank you in advance

Engine has to run to charge battery.

Yes it runs in EV mode quite a lot. Less in Winter and more in summer.

I enjoy a similar experience to Hybrid Ann.

In and out of EV mode also depends on driving style, terrain and weather.

But from my experience I have achieved 62mpg when my last vehicle on the same journey was 50mpg

Mine drives in EV mode only quite a bit but only once the battery and the car seem to have warmed up. It is still winter however and I am yet to have it in warm weather. But yes, definitely does EV only with zero engine a fair bit of the time. Both in towns and in the motorway.

I have just returned from a 3 hour journey, part of this journey I was in a traffic jam for 45 mins on the M25, stop-start at very low speeds no more then 6mph, flat road, some decline, during this time the car was in EV mode most of the time. Heating was on 21 degrees, 7 degrees outside, during the day.

When we reach an slight incline, the revs kicked in at 1,100 for a period of time, which seemed reasonable.
