A few automatic window closers on Ali Express. They apparently connect to the OBD port and is controlled with the key fob. Anyone fitted one and would be grateful for any feedback.

No, there isn't a window opening/closing function on the key fob, the feature isn't available on the MG4.I don't have the manual at hand, but isn't there already a function to close the windows using the key fob?
Or am I misrembering this from my previous car?
LinkThe only ones I have so far seen all plug into the OBD port to get the status of the car, and then also need to be connected to other areas of the car's wiring so that they can cause the windows to close.
If you have found one that only needs to be plugged into the OBD port can you post a link as such a solution will be far more installer-friendly.
The one linked to by micknomates involves not just plugging something into the OBD2 port, but also gaining access to the internal wiring to install a breakout cabling solution. The photo used in the advert is misleading as all it shows is the 2 connectors for the breakout cable and then some coloured wires going out of shot. Those wires, in fact, go to the OBD2 plug. That does look good, but is it really that simple, and literally fitted in minutes.![]()

There are a few videos of people gaining access to the wiring and fuse board on the driver's side of the car. They indicate that nothing is "literally fitted in minutes", and by touching the internal wiring, there are going to be warranty and insurance issues.
