MG4 HVAC no cold air

Hi, the temperature been 30+°c, I used the hvac, I am used to ear the pump sounding like a kitchen fridge. These last 2 days, no cold air, no sound just hot air from the outside. On auto mode, manual mode, in the car or with the app. On a 4L v1. Anyone had/have the same issue?

Last time I had my car "serviced" the stealer tried to upsell me regassing of the aircon system. Maybe yours actually needs it done?

Standard check list. 1st, Fuses, connections, soft reset, 12v disconnect, wait, then reconnect. Re-set steering and windows, panic, follow Rolfe's advice.

My 2023 Trophy is booked in for a replacement A/C compressor as the noisy one (reported in the first month) has finally failed.

Check Fuse F88 in the fuse box under the bonnet.

UPDATE: The air conditioning worked once yesterday, and today (40°C) when I turned it on via the app, it works, but when I got in and started it, it's no longer cold. I'm going back to the dealership, this will only be the 4th time outside of the annual inspection.

Collected my car today, new compressor so nice and cool and only 3+ months to get MG to agree warranty replacement. So expect snow anytime soon.

There do seem to be problems with heat pump MG4s in this area, with intermittent failure. Sounds to me like a software problem.

Mine makes a fair old racket at full "chat", but still works very effectively.

It is quieter than it was before failure but but certainly not silent.I just went and checked again and although yesterday it seemed to be chirping but today on Lo and the fan on 4 it just hummed. interestingly the grill vents opened and warm air was coming out of them.
