MG4 Premium 2026: Connectivity issues between BlueTooth devices and phone
If anyone has had phone conversation issues when driving the new MG4 Premium, I'd be interested in hearing, and of any workarounds. I have bluetooth hearing aids connected to my phone, so when the phone rings in the car, I can hear the call through my hearing aids. Regardless of where the sound comes from though (car speakers or hearing aids), I'm getting an annoying and potentially dangerous issue: if the caller (my husband so far) needs to talk for longer than a couple of sentences - as in giving detailed directions - the car seems to mute me. I cannot then ask for clarifications or respond in any way. Only answer is for me to repeatedly shut down the call from my end and call him back. The same thing happens regardless of who initiated the call. I'm not sure but this could affect those with ear buds operating via bluetooth too.
One guess is that it might be something to do with the noise cancelling component.
We are going to try with different phones and see what happens.
Again, didn't happen with my old Trophy, who has been snapped up quickly already at the dealership, I noticed. Happy motoring new owner, you've made a good choice. (His name's Sooty)
