I want to get a UK MG4 XPOWER owners-only snapshot of overall satisfaction with MG, based on the whole experience:
  • The car itself (build quality, reliability, software and updates) - largely SAIC (China)
  • MG UK (customer support, parts and warranty handling where applicable)
  • Your dealer(s) (sales experience, delivery issues, service department, warranty work and communication)
Please vote for the ONE option that best reflects your overall experience so far.

How to choose an option:
  • Very satisfied / Satisfied: You would happily buy MG again based on your experience
  • Neutral: Some positives and negatives, but it averages out
  • Dissatisfied / Very dissatisfied: Issues or poor support have left you unhappy with the brand
If you want to add context, please reply with:
  • Model year and trim
  • Rough mileage
  • Main issues (if any)
  • Whether problems were resolved and by who (SAIC/software, MG UK, or dealer)
This is not about one-off niggles - it’s about overall brand satisfaction based on the combined ownership and support experience.

Having owned a 2024 and now a 2026 refresh, excellent car, particularly for the money. Did 5.5k in the first one.

The car is a bit dodgy on tech, media would just stop now and then and a restart was required, maybe not the only solution, but it worked. New one, apple phone connection is a real pain, apart from that decent, so far at least.

Dealers are dealers, but took ours to the local place with an issue of a stone caught in the brake mechanism, causing the car to wail like a dying banshee, they sorted it and didn’t charge. Small thing, but I doubt bmw would have done that.

And it’s a pussy cat .. until you unleash Cerberus, so my wife loves it too.

My father also owns an mg and is very happy, so I think they’re knocking it out of the park as a brand at the moment

2024 - bought second hand - had it nearly a year now, covered around 7.600 miles.

Car is still joy to drive - definitely every car from now on will be all-wheel-drive EV.

Tech is not amazing, plastics are of really poor quality - especially ones in the boot - they scratch so easily!
But I'm not panicking, I'm all about value and pure performance which at sub £23k cannot be overstated.

Dealer experience was alright I guess.

I'm not really loyal when it comes to brands so we'll see what's out there when I'm ready to upgrade in 3-4 years time, but will definitely consider MG again.

Had my X Power just over 19 months and done 13,300 miles. And it's been pretty much fautless. And still loving every minute of it. The Dealer MG Chorley have been great, no problems there, either.
So all told, a great MG/EV experience. 🙂👍

Voted very satisfied, been leasing mine for 18 months now with 6 months left but plan to keep, either way would have another MG4 for sure, car has been great, love driving it and local dealer is good.

I guess individual experiences are mixed depending on the channel used to purchase the car. Mine is through a company lease and I miss the direct interaction with a dealer and the fact I am just being allowed to drive the car rather than be the "owner"

For me the software niggles which I am not allowed to get fixed/updated and some material defects, like the rear plastic on the boot and strength of the boot gas struts are a pain. also the well documented and randomly fixable vibration issue.

Also the partial implementation of all wheel drive where the car can only regen from one axle and is only all wheel drive in D mode.

Otherwise once you understand the limitations (like power restrictions with different states of charge) then it is the best bang for the buck performance wise and has the ability to put a smile on your face.

Can those who changed from a x power recently vote?
