I have a 2022 MG5 LR Exclusive. I've noticed over the last few days that the nearside DRL (daytime running light) is flashing rather than being on steady. This is the LED(?) strip that runs around the outside edge of the headlamp lens.
It would appear that this is not replaceable and would require a complete headlamp unit for which I am being quoted £450 plus labour.
I've spoken to 3 different dealerships but none can confirm if this woud be covered under Warranty.
Does anyone have experience of this problem?

It isn't listed as an exclusion so should be covered. I'm sure at least one other member has had one replaced under warranty. Don't be misled by a contention that "bulbs" are excluded as it is not a "bulb".

Thanks. I’ll go armed with that information but why they can’t confirm “until they’ve looked at it” I don’t know.

Update on the DRL issue. The car passed its MoT. Apparently the light was working sufficiently! They have acknowledged the fault however and will be submitting a Warranty claim to MG for a replacement headlamp unit.

Hopefully the will replace it.
On a slight tangent, my DRL on my SR dim when used as side lights but stay at the same brightness on my LR anyone else noticed that?
