MG5 LR Exclusive Door Lock

Hey everyone, we've just got our LR Exclusive (it's a 22 plate).

We've been having a few issues with the front passenger door not unlocking after we park the car (and the unlock button is pressed on the driver side).

We've tried different combinations (eg, pressing the unlock button twice, locking and unlocking the windows, etc). But we can't seem to figure it out.

Yeah I searched the forums, but that post was for a facelift mg5 and facelift zs and mg4's.
My car is a pre-facelift version.

Oh OK. Surely similar problem though, with similar cause and resolution??

I suspect the issue is identical but this can run for a bit to see if anyone comes up with something unique to the PFL.

I don't really know. That's why I created the post. If you know something that I don't, then do tell.

I don't have a PFL and FL models to compare and contrast.

I think the issues are subtly different. The other post is about unlocked doors not opening from the inside with the handle.

This thread seems to be about doors not unlocking.

Solution may be similar.
