Oh dear.... drove a bit too close to the car in front and loose stone pinged my windscreen and cracked it..... I wonder how easy it is to get it replaced!!!

Well at least there's no recalibration of a camera to be done on the 5.

The job should be no different to any other car I'd have thought.
Glass availability is another matter though.

On the plus side it's still safe to drive as it is.
Remember the old days before laminated screens became common.

Try to book an appointment with auto glass - they will look into it and get back to me...... hmmm..... I bet they are having a hard time sourcing a windscreen for the MG5

Safe, but not legal unfortunately. Probably wouldn't get stopped though as it's hard to spot.

I lived with a crack on the passenger side of a Ford Focus for a couple of years but replacement was forced when the first MOT became due. It wasn't major or even visible to me whilst driving but it was inside the swept area.
It was covered by insurance of course but I was a bit nervous about the car being damaged during replacement. In the end, the glass fitter actually did an excellent job.

See if you can get a pattern screen that includes UV protection maybe?
