MGB…EV !

Convert it yourself. Some companies do it for 10-15k. Even less. 99k is a 75k profit margin. Can take away another 10 for restoration maybe

Like that. Impressive DIY. EV conversion.
🙂👍
In fact the previous owner had already turned it into an EV much earlier, but the old motor failed when he took it on the freeway [motorway] and the battery was old so he had to replace them.

Not so sure about that, having actually done an EV conversion and knowing the work involved to do it properly, no one is doing conversions commercially for £15k. Unless you just mean that's the labour cost. Parts alone to do it properly are going to run well over £10k.

Whilst I do think that company is charging a lot, they're starting off with a newly scratch built car from a new shell, it's not actually an original car. To build a new one of those from scratch is going to run over £40k even with very modest labour rates. A good conversion on top (which theirs isn't particularly) will be around £30k, add some extra profit and £75k to £80k would be reasonable. (for a better conversion than theirs)
